I am proud to announce that the University of the Philippines - Asian Institute of Tourism (UP-AIT) and the Department of Tourism, together with the Tourism Foundation, Inc. (TFI) shall be holding a national conference on a very important theme - TOURISM GOVERNANCE.
Everybody knows that the election of local government officials in the Philippines is held every three years. And every election produces new officers who have varying levels of tourism knowledge and and appreciation. This event should help everybody understand the value of tourism as a tool for socio-economic development.
So we call on the local government officials, as well as other entities who would want to get a good grasp of tourism governance.
