A Great Video on Birdwatching in the Philippines!!

No comments:
Here's a great video on Birdwatching in the Philippines! I'm so proud to say that I had been a part of this program of the Philippine Department of Tourism (though only for the book version). And I'm doubly happy that aside from tourism, another major purpose for this project is to help create awareness and care for the environment by both the tourists and local folks. Here's wishing for all the luck for the tourism and environmental success of DOT's endeavor!

Kayaking in Siargao

2 comments:
Here's the newest time lapse video I made. This time, its about the great kayaking opportunity in Siargao Island. The place is actually more known for surfing where consistent waves have often made it into a part of a circuit for international surfing events. Only this time, you're going to see more of the beauty of the place through paddling.

In some areas, we had to bring the kayaks on board motorized bancas because of the distance or the lack of time.

Included in the video are Guyam Island (the small island), Sohoton Lagoon in Bucas Grande Island, and the lagoons in Del Carmen.

If the video gets cropped, here's the you tube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cjXqANdEqnU

Turtle Islands (Baguan Island)

Here's the time lapse video of the Turtle Island I visited a few weeks ago. Much of the information are stated in the preceding post I made (but this is better than simple pictures!)

The song is by KC Concepcion, and the beat clearly fits the vid.

I hope you enjoy the video and hope to inspire you a bit about your love for the environment!

Time Lapse - Ilocos Norte

Here's a time lapse video on Ilocos norte, combined with some still photos. The province has a good combination of nature and cultural attraction, and with some really unique culinary pride.

Wet Streets of London

Maiba naman... Another time lapse project I created showing the streets, views and traffic of busy London on a rainy day.

Negros Oriental - Time Lapse

Want to see many parts of Negros Oriental in only a few minutes? Here's my time lapse movie on the place. Sites include the boulevard in Dumaguete City, Casaroro Falls in Valencia, and Balinsasayaw Twin Lakes in Sibulan. This is a great place to chill out. Missed the beaches, snorkeling and dolphins, though. Next time...

Mall of Asia - Timelapse

No comments:
Here's my timelapse movie on the Mall of Asia. Because of its giant size, it has actually become a tourist attraction in Metro Manila. Many visitors are impressed, and some cannot believe that the Philippines can have a mall this huge. Shot with a Nikon D80 using a remote control timer. Shakes were caused by my sons who occassionaly bumped the tripod. It was a great moment to spend time with them, though plus doing this thing.

Philippines - A Far Away Place?

No comments:
Here's another video on some of the destinations in the Philippines. For many migrant and later generations of Filipinos now outside the country, Pinas seems like a far away place for them. Scenes include sites in Batangas (horseback riding in Taal Volcano), Palawan, Davao and Calapan (Mindor Or.)

Mt. Pulag, Benguet

Here's a video of one of my climbs to Mt. Pulag. Its one of the most beautiful mountains in the Philippines. Filled with bonsai forests, pine trees, dwarf bamboos, edelweiss-like flowers (not really sure about this, but one theory was edelweiss seeds were carried through the trekking shoes of European travellers - well, its a good story :D ).

Temperatures can go down as low as negative eight C (but that's too extreme, its usually -2 before dawn. Climb can be either difficult or easy, depending on the route.

Mt. Pulag is definitely one of the mountains I would like to go to every month, if only I have the opportunity.

Brahminy Kite

Got some great head shots of the brahminy kite and converted them into a video. With some pleasant surprise at the end of the video.
